ENMAX Generation Portfolio Inc. ENMAX Downtown District Energy Centre 3.3-Megawatt Natural Gas-Fired Power Plant (AUC Decision 21247-D01-2016)

With respect to EGPI’s compliance with section 95 of the Electric Utilities Act, the AUC held that because EGPI did not submit confirmation of its compliance with section 95 of the Electric Utilities Act, the project could only be approved on the condition that EGPI must file the independent assessment and authorization of the Minister of Energy with the AUC confirming compliance with Section 95 of the Electric Utilities Act.

Grand Rapids Pipeline GP Ltd. Compliance with Condition 11 of Decision 2014 ABAER 012 (2016 ABAER 001)

The AER cancelled the public hearing on the compliance of Grand Rapids Pipeline GP Ltd. with condition 11 from Decision 2014 ABAER 012  regarding routing issues. The AER was satisfied that the intent of condition 11 has been met by the route amendment proposed by Grand Rapids and by MEG Energy Corp.’s withdrawal of its objection. The panel therefore directed Grand Rapids to proceed with filing its proposed route amendment for a portion of line 21 under its licence.

Mr. Yanke and Mr. Huebner Noise Complaints Oldman 2 Wind Farm (Decision 3521-D01-2015)

The AUC found that the Wind Farm was not in compliance with Rule 12, and ordered Mainstream to: (a) Immediately restrict operations of the wind turbines contributing to the non-compliance until otherwise ordered by the AUC; (b) File a letter with the AUC by August 5, 2015 confirming that the operations have been restricted, and detailing the measures taken to achieve compliance with Rule 12; and (c) File a new comprehensive sound level survey at the Yanke and Huebner residences if Mainstream applies to rescind the restricted operating conditions.
